The Cultural Network Roles
The Cultural Network plays a pivotal role in preserving Austin's cultural and heritage by nurturing vibrant communities.
*Most of these tasks are already performed by your organization.
Here are some of the key roles and responsibilities of the Cultural Network:
Community Advocacy: Members of the Cultural Network serve as advocates for the preservation of Austin's cultural identity. They actively engage with local communities to understand their values and needs.
Advisory Support: The Cultural Network provides valuable insights and guidance to shape a greater 2-way support bond or net within our cultural ecosystem.
Content Creation: Network members contribute to and collaborate on the creation of questions, educational materials, cultural content, and storytelling that reflect Austin's unique cultural heritage. This content helps educate both newcomers and tourists.
Community Engagement: Participate and send out surveys, and add to your focus groups, and community events to gather input and feedback from Austin residents.
Partnership Building: Members of the Cultural Network help forge partnerships with local cultural and heritage organizations, strengthening the collaborative effort to preserve Austin's culture.
Advocacy for Diversity: They advocate for the celebration and preservation of the diverse facets of Austin's culture, ensuring that all communities and traditions are represented and respected.
Cultural Event Hosting: The Cultural Network may organize cultural events or activities that showcase Austin's heritage, providing opportunities for newcomers and tourists to experience the city's culture firsthand.
Adaptive Strategy: They help adapt strategies based on changing community needs and evolving cultural dynamics.
